Senior Pastor – Joel Urshan

Born June 5 1979, Joel Urshan preached his first sermon at age 10. At age 15 he began traveling the nation speaking to various churches and youth groups. By age 16 he was invited as a special guest speaker at the annual General Conference of the United Pentecostal Church International. In 1998 he founded the “Mantle” young minister’s conference, designed to help young ministers harness the values of previous generations of ministry so as to help them launch into the hope and promise of the future. Coming from a long generational line of United Pentecostal ministers, Urshan places a high value on the lessons one can glean from their heritage.

In 2000 he accepted the invitation of his father to be the co-pastor of Zion Tabernacle in Kokomo, Indiana a position he held for 5 years. During which time the church witnessed spiritual, numeric and financial growth. Urshan was also a regular speaker on the Zion Tabernacle radio broadcast which had a listening audience of 500,000.

In 2001 he assisted his father in founding the Moriah Apostolic Church in Avon, Indiana. Moriah Apostolic Church has experienced an average rate of 75% membership growth in each year of its existence.

In January 2005 he was elected Senior Pastor of the First Apostolic Church of Cincinnati, Ohio. Pastor Urshan continues to travel both nationally and internationally, speaking at conventions, seminars, camp meetings and crusades.
